Salient feature/USP
Due to very hard rock in this region, drum cutters with specialized attachments were used for rock breaking to achieve the pushing progress without vibrations to the railway tracks above.

Description
Box pushing on both sides of existing subway was done. Box size of 7.5 m x 4.5 m
Salient feature/USP
Pushing was done under the busy Ahemdabad-Mumbai railway line and the cushion available between the railway track and box top was very less. Extra care had to be taken in maintaining the railway track.

The job was complex because of around 1100 train movements on a daily basis. The pushing was done under existing stations. Pushing works were carried out only during 2.30 am to 4.30 am as there was minimum train movement during that period.

Description
Box of 8.4m x 6.1m and pushing length of 50m was done part of the expansion of the material handling system
Salient feature/USP
Work was done in extreme conditons of very high ground water level and and hard rock. Drum cutter were deployed to break the rock.
